Museo Revoltella Auditorium Friday, 17 October 1997

Following a tradition established by Gaetano Kanizsa, Italian experimental psychologists have met every year at the Department of Psychology of the University of Trieste to discuss issues in "Perception and Cognition". In the recent years, the meeting has expanded to include foreign guests and to accommodate talks in English. This year the meeting is scheduled to begin on Thursday, October 16, at 9:00 a.m. and it will end on Saturday, October 18, at 1:00 p.m. Since 1993, to honor the memory of the late Gaetano Kanizsa the meeting also includes the "Kanizsa Lecture". This year, Alan Gilchrist, Rutgers University, will speak on "Visual Structure and Surface Color". The lecture will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, in the Museo Revoltella Auditorium, via Diaz 27a, Trieste, Italy.
