Controlling the Loop Using Virtual Realities

Museo Revoltella Auditorium Thursday, 29 October 1998, 4:00 p.m.

---------------------------------------------------------------
Following a tradition established by Gaetano Kanizsa, Italian
experimental psychologists have met every year at the Department
of Psychology of the University of Trieste to discuss issues in
"Perception and Cognition". In the recent years, the meeting has
expanded to include foreign guests and to accommodate talks in
English. This year the meeting is scheduled to begin on
Thursday, October 29, at 9:00 a.m. and it will end on Saturday,
October 31, at 1:00 p.m. Since 1993, to honor the memory of the
late Gaetano Kanizsa the meeting also includes the "Kanizsa
Lecture". This year, Heinrich H. Bülthoff, Max Planck Institut,
Tübingen, will speak on "Perception and Action: Controlling the
Loop Using Virtual Realities". The lecture will be held at 4:00
p.m. on Thursday, October 29, in the Museo Revoltella Auditorium,
via Diaz 27a, Trieste, Italy.
