AVAILABLE: POSTDOC POSITION AT UALG VISION LABORATORY
To work on a project which concerns the modeling of brightness
and doing psychophysical experiments on spatial brightness.
The 2D model is based on complex Gabor functions with a multiscale
of lines, edges and vertices, including nonlinear amplitude transfer
The experiments concern illusions like Mach bands, but also other
for calibrating and testing the model.
The work is part of a recently-started project funded by the Commission
European Communities - 4 partners in Madrid, Faro, Rio de Janeiro and
the total budget is 400kECU.
Duration: 2.5 years
Start: as soon as possible
Salary: VERY reasonable
Travels: paid by the project
Teaching: no, fulltime research
Experience: psychophysics, programming and basic signal processing
