The York Centre for Vision Research is expanding its virtual reality
facilities, and is seeking a talented programmer to serve as a research
assistant or associate in a new interdisciplinary programme of research
in 3D vision and virtual/augmented reality. The ideal candidate has
strong programming experience, laboratory hardware skills (at the
systems level), and an interest in virtual reality. A first degree in a
relevant area (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics)
is required. A Master's degree in a relevant area would be an asset.
Salary is competitive. Starting date is flexible. Applications will be

The York Centre for Vision Research is an interdisciplinary centre
spanning the Departments of Psychology, Computer Science, Biology and
Philosophy. The Centre comprises 16 faculty, 15 post-doctoral fellows,
and roughly 40 graduate students. Members pursue fundamental research
in visual, vestibular and auditory perception, eye-movements, computer
vision, virtual reality and robotics.
