A LECTURESHIP IN OPTOMETRY (Limited Term - 3
years)
Department of Optometry and Vision Science

(Vacancy UAC. 1092)

The University invites applications for this
three year position. The Department of Optometry
and Vision Science is a department in the Faculty
of Science and conducts a four year undergraduate
course leading to the degree of Bachelor of
Optometry and postgraduate studies for the degree
of Master of Science (Optometry) and Doctor of
Philosophy.

Applicants must have an optometric qualification
and a higher degree in Optometry, Visual Science
or a related discipline. It is expected that the
successful applicant will have a strong record of
research and teaching in experimental or clinical
optometry. A background in optics and visual
science or ocular pathology would be an advantage.

assume responsibility for teaching duties in the
BOptom course and supervision of postgraduate
students.

Commencing salary will be determined in the
