VisionScienceList: postdoc fellowship; correlated activity/visual system

Position available immediately to study visual system development and
function. Studies will focus on the role of patterned neural activity in
guiding cortical and LGN circuit and receptive field formation (see Science
285: 599-604, 1999). Experiments will utilize multi-electrode arrays to
record spatio-temporal patterns of neural activity in awake behaving
animals, and gene transfection, pharmacological, electrophysiolgical, or
visual display methods to manipulate these patterns. Experience with
experimental and analytical electrophysiological methods preferred, but
motivated individuals with other backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
