    OPEN FACULTY POSITIONS IN COGNITIVE SCIENCE
    University of California, Irvine

    The Department of Cognitive Sciences at the University of California Irvine
    (UCI) <www.cogsci.uci.edu> has several tenure-track or tenure positions and
    is developing strengths in the following areas of research:

    1. Cognitive Neuroscience
    2. Perception and Action
    3. High Level Cognition
    4. Computational/Mathematical

    Positions are at the rank of assistant professor, but exceptional
    candidates at all ranks will be considered.

    UCI is targeted as a growth campus for the University of California. It is
    the youngest of the existing UC campuses, yet ranked 10th among public
    universities. The department has laboratories in cognition, perception,
    motor control, virtual reality, and EEG, and access to 3T and 1.5T research
    fMRI facilities. It is affiliated with the Institute for Mathematical
    Behavioral Sciences, the Center for Virtual Reality, the Brain Imaging
    Center, the Institute for Brain Aging and Dementia, the Center for
    Neurobiology of Learning and Memory, and the Hearing and Speech Science
    Research Unit.

    A cover letter indicating the area (1-4) of primary research, a CV, three
    recent publications and contact information for three to five references
    should be sent to
