The 2nd Workshop on Light Fields for Computer Vision (LF4CV)
In conjunction with CVPR 2017, Hawaii

http://lightfield-analysis.net/LF4CV/

--------------------------------------------------------------

*** Important Dates ***

Paper submission: March 10th, 2017
Notification of acceptance: April 20th, 2017
Camera-ready paper due: April 27th, 2017
Workshop: July 21st or 26th, 2017

*** Workshop Topics ***

We encourage authors to submit original contributions using light field
acquisition devices and processing algorithms for resolving
traditionally challenging computer vision problems, including, but not
limited to the areas of

- Light field based modeling and scene reconstruction
- Descriptors and features for light fields
- Object detection and recognition in light fields
- Light field compression and rendering
- Light field sensors
- Light field data sets and evaluation methods

*** Submission Information ***

Full papers must be formatted according to the CVPR 2017 author
guidelines and should not exceed 12 pages including references (shorter
submissions are welcome). Submission must be anonymized for double blind
review. Each paper will be reviewed by two members of the LF4CV program
committee, there will not be a rebuttal phase. Acceptance will be based
on relevance to the workshop, novelty, and technical quality.

*** Depth Estimation Challenge ***

In conjunction with the workshop, we host a depth estimation challenge
for densely sampled 4D light fields based on the new dataset at
www.lightfield-analysis.net.

The challenge aims at capturing the state-of-the-art, hence novel as
well as already published methods are invited to participate. To take
part in the challenge, submit the results of your method to the
benchmark web page and a two page extended abstract (if not submitted as
a full paper to the workshop) summarizing your method. For details, see
the workshop web page.

Outstanding participants will win prices and will be given the
opportunity to present their method at the workshop.

*** Keynote Speakers ***

Ravi Ramamoorthi (UCSD)
Harlyn Baker (Stanford Robotics Laboratory)
Tsung-Yi Li (Cornell NYC Tech)

*** Current Program Committee (more invites pending) ***

Alexander Sorkine-Hornung (Disney Research)
Chia-Kai Liang (Lytro)
