1st CALL FOR PAPERS

We are pleased to announce that the 24th Symposium of the International Colour Vision Society (ICVS 2015) will be held from 18 until 22 August, 2017 at the University Hospital Erlangen, Germany.

We invite you to submit an abstract for either paper or poster presentation on any aspect of colour vision. Topics of interest include, but are not restricted, to any of the following:

     *   Central processing of colour signals
     *   Colour in occupational environments
     *   Colour induction and constancy
     *   Colour cognition
     *   Colour in the mesopic range
     *   Colour vision assessment
     *   Congenital colour vision deficiencies
     *   Phylogeny and ontogeny of colour vision
     *   Clinical aspects of colour vision
     *   Effects of ageing on colour vision
     *   Functional imaging and colour vision
     *   Genetics of colour vision
     *   Isolation of chromatic mechanisms
     *   Object-surface properties, material perception, and related topics
     *   Peripheral chromatic sensitivity
     *   Physiology of colour vision
     *   Unique hues
     *   Variability in colour vision
This year's symposium includes:
*       the 2017 Verriest Medal Lecture, David H. Foster, University of Manchester, UK
*       invited special talks by
           Robert M. Shapley, New York University, Center for Neural Science, USA
           Kathy T Mullen, McGill University, Vision Research Unit, Canada
           Austin J Roorda, University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry, USA

Important deadlines:
*       April 1st, 2017: Final submission of abstracts for papers and posters, including abstracts for student travel award
*       May 18th, 2017: Notification of presentation acceptances and student travel awards
*       June 30th, 2017: End of early registration
*       July 31th, 2017: End of late registration
