Applications are now being sought for the ViiHM Grant Sandpit to be held this July at the University of Birmingham, UK. Please note that, in contrast to previous events, places will be restricted to principal investigators only. Furthermore, delegates must attend all three days. The meeting will take the form of a facilitated grant writing workshop where ideas related to the ViiHM Grand Challenges (www.viihm.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/ViiHM-Grand-Challenges-final.pdf) will be explored in a collaborative setting and similar ideas grouped into grant consortia and developed towards grant applications over the course of the 3 days. Delegates should be willing to share and explore ideas collaboratively. Participant numbers will be limited to 30 with priority given to relatively junior PIs perhaps considering their first cross-discipline grant. However, all PIs are welcome to register an interest.
Registration of Interest:
Please complete the form at www.viihm.org.uk/viihm-grant-sandpit-registration/ to register your interest.
Cost: FREE to Academic attendees
The meeting is free to academic members and will include the following:

• breakfast on the 18th and 19th
• lunch and refreshments on the 17th, 18th and 19th
• Wi-Fi within the venue and hotel
• We hope to cover all travel costs within the UK but reserve the right to reduce this to a percentage of the cost dependent on our funding. Please do not book travel until we confirm your place.
For Academic attendees these cost will be paid from funds generously provided by the EPSRC. Payment of additional accommodation for one night will be considered for those who have to travel for more than four and a half hours within the UK.
Industrial members (except when invited as mentors) will be asked to pay for their own accommodation costs and will not receive travel expenses.
Exclusions: Travel outside the UK (except where invited / approved), Mini-bar, room service, bar bills, additional meals not listed above, additional accommodation for social reasons and incidental expenses will not be covered by the Network and must be paid for by the attendee.
