We are seeking to recruit a postdoctoral research fellow in the area of
digital pathology to work on developing novel image analytics methods for
computerised profiling of the tumour microenvironment.

You will be expected to perform high quality research under the supervision
of Professor Nasir Rajpoot, as part of the MRC funded project
'Micro-Community Analytics for Histology Landscapes (MiCAHiL)'. The
expectation is that you will produce breakthrough research results on
sophisticated tools for image analytics in order to reveal spatial trends
and patterns associated with disease sub-groups, publish these results in
top rated venues, and assist with the deployment of those tools for
validation at the University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS
Trust.

The project will be run in collaboration with a team of pathologists at the
UHCW and the University of Nottingham Medical School, and also with Intel
Health and Life Sciences (HLS) team in the UK and the centre for
Computational Imaging and Personalisation Diagnostics (CCIPD) at Case
Western Reserve University in the USA.

You will possess a PhD or an equivalent qualification in Computer Science
or a very closely related discipline (or you will shortly be obtaining it).
You should have a strong background in one or more of the following areas:
computer vision; image analysis/analytics; machine learning; digital
pathology image analysis.

If you have not yet been awarded your PhD but are near submission or have
recently submitted your PhD, any offers of employment will be made as
Research Assistant on level 5 of the University grade structure (£28,453).
Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be
promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University
grade structure (£29,301).

The post is based in the Department of Computer Science at University of
Warwick. It will offer opportunities for collaborations with closely
related research organisations such as the Warwick Data Science Institute
(WDSI) and the Alan Turing Institute (ATI). You will join a team of
researchers in the Tissue Image Analytics (TIA) lab, led by Professor
Rajpoot, including other postdoctoral researchers and PhD students.

Candidates should provide with their application form a CV, a list of
publications and a research statement.
