Applicants are invited for a postdoctoral research associate position (i.e. a postdoc) in UCL Attention and Cognitive Control laboratory at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, supervised by Prof Nilli Lavie. The project is funded by Jaguar Land Rover as part of the new program (jointly with the EPSRC) to develop fully autonomous cars:

The research aims to provide a new understanding of attention during real-life tasks, and within the autonomous car using a combination of EEG, behavioural and physiology measures of attention and perception.
The position is funded for 2 years in the first instance, and available to start immediately.

Applicants should hold or expect shortly to hold a PhD with a record of success in research (as evidenced in publications) in cognitive neuroscience (preferable including neuroimaging using the methods of EEG or MEG). Applicants are expected to have excellent quantitative and programming skills in Matlab or equivalent as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with advanced methods of signal processing, image processing, or computational modelling would be highly desirable.
