Assistant Professor position in Neurovascular Physiology

The Department of Physiology in the College of Medicine at the University of Arizona invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of neurovascular physiology and pathophysiology. We seek outstanding candidates (PhD, MD, DVM, or combined doctoral degrees), who have demonstrated exceptional productivity and creativity in research that complements and integrates with on-going strengths in the department.


The ideal candidate would deploy a variety of advanced methods including (for example) genetic, electrophysiological, imaging, computational, in vivo or bioengineering approaches to understand the interaction of neuronal and vascular mechanisms in the mammalian brain and spinal cord. Responsibilities include the development of an extramurally funded research program, collaboration with other investigators in the Department of Physiology teaching of undergraduate, graduate, and medical students in topics relevant to their areas of expertise and mentoring students.
