The National Eye Institute invites you to join us for "Vision and the Brain," the opening symposium celebrating NEI's 50th anniversary in 2018. This event celebrates the contributions of NIH Distinguished Scientist Robert H. Wurtz, Ph.D.

Date: Friday, November 10, 2017, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. at the Washington, D.C., Marriott Marquis hotel. The symposium will address the contribution of visual systems neuroscience to action, perception and cognition.

A reception will immediately follow the symposium. Registrants are also invited to join a dinner honoring Bob Wurtz, whose research over 50 years at NIH has explored the organization of the brain underlying visual perception and the control of eye movement.
