The laboratory of MiYoung Kwon ( http://labs.uab.edu/kwon/ <http://labs.uab.edu/kwon/> ) in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a highly motivated full-time Research Assistant/Coordinator. 

The lab focuses on understanding visual perception in impaired vision. Our research involves psychophysical, eye tracking, fMRI, retinal imaging, computational investigations in normal and visually impaired humans (e.g., glaucoma, macular degeneration, and amblyopia). 

Responsibilities include coordinating multiple lab projects; recruiting and enrolling research participants; assisting with behavioral, fMRI, eye tracking, and retinal imaging studies (e.g., testing human subjects, data entry); providing administrative support; preforming other related lab activities as needed.

Required qualifications: The candidate would have a BA/BS, preferably with experience in a research laboratory. The candidate would have good computer skills and effective communication skills both orally and in writing. Experience in working with patient and elderly populations is preferable. The candidate should be able to handle multiple projects, work independently, and work accurately with attention to detail. At least a two-year commitment is required for this position.
