The Department of Psychology is seeking to appoint highly motivated and enthusiastic Lecturers to join our team of academic staff.

You will hold a PhD, DClin or DEd in Psychology, or related discipline, be able to evidence excellence in teaching and research, and share our ambition to deliver the highest quality education, training and research in a leading department.

Recently restructured around 4 Centres of Excellence, Psychology at Southampton delivers impactful research and UG/PG education in experimental and applied psychology. We welcome applications from individuals who wish to innovate teaching and produce the highest quality research in areas that complement our expertise in social and personality psychology, perception and cognitive psychology, clinical and developmental psychology, or health and wellbeing. Our research facilities are recognised as internationally world leading/excellent (REF2014) and include laboratories for social interaction and behavioural observation, therapeutic intervention, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), electroencephalography (EEG), psychophysiology, eye-tracking, psychopharmacology, and computational modelling.

We are one of the largest providers of postgraduate research training in the UK, offering a range of MSc programmes (Research Methods, Health and Clinical), research doctorates, and Doctoral Programmes in Clinical Psychology (DClin) and Educational Psychology (DEdPsyc). We enjoy long-standing collaborations with University research groups in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Psychiatry, Medicine, Biological Sciences, Engineering, and Computer Science, and our strategic partnerships with NHS Trusts, schools, Government and industry deliver world leading impact (REF2014) and attract significant funding from all major research funders.

You will join highly motivated and collegiate staff who are keen to share expertise, provide mentorship and support professional development. You will be responsible to the Head of Psychology.
