Dear All,

I am pleased to announce that I have an open position for a *PhD candidate
in Pattern Recognition for Big Data and Internet of Things. *

The project is funded by the *University of Groningen*. Candidates are
invited to write and develop their own research project within the scope of
the proposed topics listed below and related ones.


Topics of interest:
- Autonomous health monitoring information systems
- Pattern recognition
- Deep Learning
- Anomaly Detection
- Brain-inspired visual pattern recognition
- Audio analysis
- Medical image analysis
- Indexing & retrieval of visual objects in very large databases
- Internet of Things


Deadline of Application: *15 January 2018*

The selected PhD student will be enrolled in the PhD Scholarship Programme
of the University of Groningen and will receive a scholarship of *€ 2,027
per month (gross) for a period of 4 years*.
