*Dopavision GmbH* is a newly founded* digital-health start-up based
in Berlin* with the mission to disrupt vision care with digital solutions.



We are looking for a *vision scientist* to lead the *myopia research* as
one of the current projects at Dopavision.



*Responsibilities:*

·        Design, develop, conduct, analyze, publish, and present research
in vision science

·        In-depth literature review and report, particular topic: myopia,
eye and vision care

·        Identification and establishment of scientific collaboration with
academic partners

·        Writing reports, grants, publications in English; ability to write
in German is a plus



*Qualifications:*

·        PhD in vision sciences; fresh graduates and post-docs are
particularly encouraged to apply

·        Expertise in at least one of the following areas: neurobiology of
the eye, ophthalmology, myopia, optics of the eye. Visual neuroscience 'in
addition' is a plus

·        Strong track record as an independent researcher in designing,
leading, and conducting research in vision science. Experience in managing
people/students is a plus

·        Strong statistics and analytical thinking. Familiarity with Python
or willingness to learn

·        Presentation skills, excellent command of English, command of
German is a plus

·        Knowledge of 'key opinion leaders' in myopia, optometry and
ophthalmology research, recognition in the community is a plus

·        Experience in writing papers and dealing with tough
peer-reviewers. Experience in patent writing and patent search is a plus



*Least important qualifications:*

·        Study degrees with distinction

·        Publications in Cell/Nature/Science

·        Programming in every language

·        Business-oriented thinking

·        Long CV



*Location:*

Berlin, Mitte.



*Position:*

Full-time, as soon as possible.
