PhD and Postdoc researcher positions are available in goffauxlab<https://sites.uclouvain.be/goffauxlab/index.html> at UCL (Belgium).
Our research relies on the use of psychophysical, electrophysiological (EEG), and neuroimaging (3T and 7T fMRI) techniques to study how visual information is integrated in the human brain while processing complex face and scene images. Current research topics include: orientation selectivity of facial identity and gaze processing, coarse-to-fine integration of visual information, and contextual modulation in face perception.

Qualifications. We will consider PhD candidates with a MSC in Cognitive Psychology, Neurosciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field. Postdoctoral candidates should hold a PhD degree in one of these domains.
In addition to a specific interest in human visual perception, the ideal candidate has skills in programming (e.g., Matlab) and data analysis, a solid background in cognitive neuroscience, and a high level of written and spoken English.

Appointment. PhD positions are 3-year appointments (1FTE), with possibility of extension. Postdoctoral positions involve a 2-year appointment (1FTE), with possibility of extension via other funding sources. Position starting date is flexible.

To apply. Please send a brief (max. 1,000 words) personal statement describing your qualifications and research interests, your CV, and the contact information of two references, to valerie.goffaux at uclouvain.be<mailto:valerie.goffaux at uclouvain.be> before March 31 2018.
