The Stanford Vision and Perception Neuroscience Lab (vpnl.stanford.edu), directed by Dr. Kalanit Grill-Spector, is seeking a full-time lab manager. 

The lab manager will participate in NIH-funded research to examine the development of high-level visual areas from childhood to adulthood. The position will expose the applicant to multiple types of imaging data and analyses approaches. As such, it is particularly suited for a recent graduate from a Neuroscience, Psychology, Symbolic Systems, or Computer Science program who is seeking to work in an innovative research environment in preparation for graduate school in Neuroscience/Psychology.

The work will involve scheduling and conducting behavioral and MRI scans in children and adults; designing, programming, and analyzing behavioral and MRI data; participating in lab meetings and research seminars. The lab manager will also provide technical support for lab personnel such as maintaining code and licenses and conduct administrative duties such as ordering and tracking supplies, and compiling information for IRB reviews.

Requirements: We seek an organized, self-motivated, independent, and reliable individual with strong computational skills, who can also work as part of a team. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in either cognitive science, neuroscience, computer science, psychology, engineering, physics, or math. Coding proficiency in Matlab or python is required. The applicant should have good teamwork skills and evidence of serious interest in a career in cognitive, visual, or systems neuroscience. Prior research experience and/or proficiency with Psychtoolbox is a plus.
