A position is available in the R&D department at Essilor International for
an energetic and highly-motivated Vision Scientist.

Essilor International as a world technological leader and to anticipate
permanently the needs of the world markets and consumers.*



For the R&D center of Dallas, TX, we are looking for a *R&D Vision
Scientist.*



Within the Life and Vision Science department whose mission is to improve
our knowledge on the visual system and set up innovative solutions for
vision correction and consumer’s vision needs, your responsibilities will
be to :



- Develop expertise in vision science;

- Conduct literature review and experiments on the visual system;

-  Identify and set up relation with top researchers in vision sciences in
the United States;

- Animate scientific partnerships in collaboration with Universities or
research laboratories;

- Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations;

- Pilot research program.



*Qualifications:*



- PhD in Vision Science ; All area of Vision Science will be considered

- At least 5 years of successful experience in Research within Vision
Science, with significant scientific contributions (publications,
collaborations, post-docs) in this domain;

- International recognition in the ophthalmic world would be a plus;

- Expert knowledge in research protocol, ability to propose, and follow
thesis subjects;

- Ability to define research axis in coherence with company strategy;

- Experience in patent writing and analysis would be a plus;

- Rigour, resourceful, autonomy, positive attitude and team player;

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

- Willingness to understand the other expertises of the R&D department and
to share your knowledge;

- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to
25% annually
