A post-doctoral position is available at The Neural Systems & Brain Signal
Processing Lab (PI: Dr. Milad Lankarany) located in The Krembil Research
Institute, Toronto, Canada.



The Krembil Research Institute is associated with the Toronto Western
Hospital and is one of the largest research institutes in Canada focusing
on human neurological diseases from a basic science and clinical research
perspective. The University Health Network, Canada’s largest academic
hospital network, has a strong interdisciplinary research program in
vision, spinal cord, regenerative neuroscience and arthritis.



The ideal candidate should have a PhD with a strong quantitative background
(ideally in the field of Computational Neuroscience/Applied
Mathematic/Signal Processing & Information Theory/Machine Learning). The
position is funded for one year with possibility of extension.

The focus of our Lab is on the development of computational models and
techniques to infer the hidden states (dynamics) of the neural systems from
sparse observations. Particularly, we aim to understand how the sensory
information is represented (Encoded – Decoded) and propagated. Additional
