The University of Arizona Neuroscience<http://neuroscience.arizona.edu/> Graduate Interdisciplinary program is growing and looking to recruit talented and motivated graduate assistants. With over 55 faculty whose research spans diverse areas of neuroscience, the program provides a unique, integrated training and mentorship approach for a career in research, teaching, or neuroscience-related careers in academia, research centers, industry, business and/or government. Principal research areas of strength include aging, pain, emotion motivated behavior, neuro-immunology, molecular & cellular neuro- and synaptic physiology, and the molecular basis of neurological and neurodegenerative diseases.

Our alumni have become successful faculty at research universities and liberal arts colleges, scientists at Biotech companies and leaders at government agencies and private foundations. UA is located in Tucson, a great place to live, with a vibrant culture, warm climate year-round, outdoor adventures (including easy access to national parks), and low living costs. Application deadline for the Neuroscience PhD program (http://neuroscience.arizona.edu<http://neuroscience.arizona.edu/>) is December 1, 2018.
