A post-doctoral research position is available in the Department of
Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at the University of Minnesota,
Minneapolis, MN, USA. The successful candidate will join a
multi-disciplinary team of researchers as part of a project focused on the
neural basis of psychotic disorders, which includes Profs. Michael-Paul
Schallmo (schallmolab.umn.edu) and Scott Sponheim (cablab.umn.edu). Our
group includes a diverse range of expertise such as neuroimaging, clinical
psychopathology, visual neuroscience, and electrophysiology. The twin
cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, MN are part of a vibrant metropolitan

We are searching for a motivated and talented post-doctoral scientist with
experience in one or more of the following areas: vision science, cognitive
neuroscience, neuroimaging, clinical psychology, psychiatry, or biological
psychology. Essential skills include: programming (Matlab or Python), data
analysis, experiment design, and electroencephalography / neuroimaging in
human subjects. The successful candidate will have a direct supervisor and
a primary research project, with opportunities to establish additional
projects and collaborations. The main project will include the use of
electroencephalography, functional MRI, and visual neuroscience paradigms
to examine the neural basis of abnormal perception in people with psychosis.

This position will be established under an initial 1-year contract, with up
to 3 additional years of support available for the successful candidate.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in neuroscience, psychology, or related
fields. The position is full-time, with salary and benefits commensurate
with years of experience under the NIH post-doctoral pay scale.
