[visionlist] Postdoc position - Multimodal Perception and Control

*Subject:* The subject will be on the multimodal
(visual/force/tactile/sound) perception and control of a robotic
manipulator for performing a contact task in a small and cluttered
environment. Provided solution will be used by Michelin. The manipulator
needs to be controlled precisely since the environment is highly
constrained. Vision itself will not be enough and thus other sensors will
be required such as the tactile, force and sound to perform the task.

*Duration:* 2 years

*Where: *Research will be conducted at FactoLab/Institut Pascal in
Clemront-Ferrand, France. Factolab is a laboratory between 3 public
research laboratories (Institut Pascal, Lapsco and Limos) and Michelin. The
goal of FactoLab is to develop research lines and technological solutions
in the field of “Factory of the Future”.
