Applications are invited from candidates interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in
Informatics doing Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality (VR, AR, and XR)
research at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).

The students will be supervised by Dr. Margarita Vinnikov (
margaritavinnikov.com) and will be part of Multidisciplinary Interaction,
Machine Intelligence, and XR Research (MIXR) Lab.

Topics of interest would include the design, development, and evaluation
of novel: XR and cross-model (visual, audio, and/or haptic) user
experiences; Gaze-contingent displays for gaming and social interaction
applications; New techniques for improving navigation in XR (walking,

(YWCC) is the largest college of computing in the New York metro area. As a
result, 25% of all high-tech employees in New Jersey trained at NJIT.
