Two post-doc positions are available in the Virtual Reality lab in Reading to study the representation of object location and the perception of visual stability in freely-moving human observers, one is for 24 months and the other is for 12 months. The latter has more of an emphasis on modelling and possible interaction with the Torr Vision group in Oxford who work on reinforcement learning. This EPSRC/Dstl project uses psychophysical experiments and modelling to distinguish between the predictions of view-based and 3D reconstruction models. It is part of a large MURI consortium project.
