Fordham University, Department of Psychology: Associate/Full Professor in
Cognitive Psychology to begin August 2020. We are seeking a candidate with
an established record of graduate mentorship and external funding,
peer-reviewed publications, and teaching experience, who will take a
leadership role in helping inaugurate a doctoral program in
cognitive/experimental psychology that is currently being developed. Candidates
must have earned a Ph.D. in Psychology and have a demonstrated record of
publication. All fields of cognitive psychology will be considered.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses,
establishing and maintaining a productive independent program of research,
and mentoring student research at the undergraduate and graduate (thesis
and dissertation) level. The ideal candidate will also participate in our
undergraduate Integrative Neuroscience major. The Department of Psychology
currently offers doctoral degrees in Applied Developmental Psychology,
Clinical Psychology, and Psychometric/Quantitative Psychology, along with
Master’s degrees in Applied Psychological Methods and Clinical Research
Methods; a fourth doctoral program in Cognitive psychology is tentatively
scheduled to begin accepting students for Fall 2021. The Department is
located on both campuses of Fordham University, with the graduate programs
located at our Rose Hill campus in the Bronx and undergraduate programs at
both the Rose Hill and Lincoln Center (Manhattan) campuses. This position
will be based primarily at the Rose Hill (Bronx) campus.
