(Apologies if you are receiving copies from multiple listservs.)

Hi folks,

I and my colleagues in the Developmental, Cognitive, and Behavioral
Neuroscience (DCBN) area of the University of Houston Department of
Psychology are seeking PhD students to begin in the fall of 2020. Our
application deadline is *December 15, 2019*. Students in the PhD program
gain exposure to cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience,
developmental psychology, and behavioral neuroscience while themselves
performing research focused on one or two of those areas. Please see the
attached flyer for more information.

I (and several current graduate students) will be at the Psychonomics
meeting in Montreal next month and would be happy to discuss the program
with potential applicants.

The University of Houston is a ~45,000-student public research university
with Carnegie Tier 1 status. Our Psychology department has more than 35
faculty and more than 100 graduate students, and we benefit from a rich
collaborative environment with related schools and departments across our
campus, including Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, Optometry,
Communications Disorders, and Health and Human Performance. We are a part
of the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical complex in the world. We
also benefit from being situated in the city of Houston, which is the
fourth-largest city in the United States, as well as one of the most
diverse. Reflecting our city, UH has been designated as an Asian American
and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) and a
Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI).

Please do pass on this email and/or the attached flyer to promising
applicants!

Ben
