Tenure-track Faculty Position - Department of Vision Science
New England College of Optometry, Boston MA
New England College of Optometry (NECO) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Department of Vision Science. The department is seeking a faculty member with research interests in optics, imaging, or a related area. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in optics, vision science, or a relevant discipline. An optometry degree is desirable but not required.
The successful applicant will be expected to establish an extramurally-funded research program and will have teaching and mentoring responsibilities in optics in the optometry and graduate programs. The salary and rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
NECO is a small, dynamic institution located in the historic Back Bay section of Boston. The College has a strong commitment to vision research and a collaborative research environment, with strengths in myopia and low vision rehabilitation. Research at the college is supported by several NIH grants, an NIH/NEI T35 training grant, industry, and internal funding.
The start date for the position is July 1, 2020, and the deadline for applying is December 16, 2019.
