We are seeking a highly motivated candidate for a 3-year position (with
possible 1-year extension) at the Dept. of Experimental Psychology, Ghent
University (Belgium). The position is funded by the EFFORT project, in
which we will employ a multi-method cognitive neuroscience approach to
investigate cognitive effort in humans (main promotors: Roeljan Wiersema,
Wim Notebaert, Nico Boehler, Ruth Krebs). For details see:

The candidate will be involved in fMRI, EEG, and TMS experiments in healthy
adults. Candidates are expected to have a PhD in the field of psychology or
cognitive neuroscience at the time of the starting date. Prior experience
with one or multiple cognitive neuroscience techniques (fMRI, EEG, TMS), as
well as good programming skills (Python, Matlab) are required for this
position. Familiarity with multi-method approaches would be an asset.

Our department hosts several research groups in the realm of cognitive
psychology and cognitive neuroscience, creating a dynamic research
environment including regular internal talk series as well as presentations
by invited speakers. We have access to a research-dedicated 3-tesla MR
scanner (Siemens Prisma), multiple EEG systems, TMS, and eye-tracking
devices.

The starting date for this position is between March 1st 2020 the earliest
and October 1st 2020 the latest. The call closes January 5th 2020.
