Call for applicants: Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Medical Imaging and Applications (MAIA).

Grants: 20 Erasmus+ scholarships are available, covering the taxes and a monthly scholarship up to 45,000 Eur

We are pleased to announce the call for applicants to the Erasmus+ Joint Master Degree in Medical Imaging and Applications (MAIA) programme (https://maiamaster.udg.edu/). The MAIA is a 2 years’ master programme which aims to train highly-skilled experts in the field of medical image computing and medical image analysis techniques. The master responds to the new advances in computer aided diagnosis (CAD) systems, which in close development with novel imaging techniques, have revolutionised healthcare in recent years. Technology behind the development of these systems stems from different research areas, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, pattern recognition, computer vision, image processing and physical sensors and acquisition techniques, which are all covered in the programme.

The MAIA master is coordinated by the University of Girona (UdG, Spain) and with the University of Bourgogne (uB, France) and the Università degli studi di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale (UNICLAM, Italy) as partners. Students follow a fixed mobility scheme spending one semester at each university, while the fourth semester is devoted to the master thesis, which is done in any of the universities of the consortia or in collaborating universities and companies.

Applicants to the programme must hold a bachelor degree (degree equivalent to at least 180 ECTS), preferably in the fields of technology, engineering, computer science, physics or mathematics. The tuition language is English, applicants will have to demonstrate during application an English language proficiency equivalent to level B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

The MAIA programme was recognised by the Executive Agency: Education, Audiovisual and Culture for its academic excellence and is included in the list of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees under the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union from 2019-2025, and they offer around 20 grants/year for enrolling in the master. The Erasmus+ scholarships offers highly talented students the unique opportunity to pursue a degree in the MAIA master programme covering the taxes and a monthly scholarship, up to 45,000 Eur for the entire duration of the programme.

The deadline for the MAIA student scholarships is February 21st 2020.
