[visionlist] Pre-/Postdoctoral positions in Visual learning and attention guidance in patients with macular degeneration

Applications are invited for a pre/postdoctoral researcher in the 
DFG-funded project *“Visual learning and attention guidance in patients 
with macular degeneration”*.

Foveal vision loss leads to insufficient exploration of the environment 
with eye movements. Based on previous work (e.g. Geringswald & Pollmann, 
JEP:LMC 2015) we intend to optimize training paradigms for the 
exploration of visual search displays with gaze-contingent scotoma 
simulation as well as with macular degeneration patients.

Applicants for a postdoc position should have experience with the coding 
and analysis of eye tracking data. Magdeburg is a lively university town 
with a beautiful historical centre around the river Elbe and with 
convenient transport links to Leipzig and Berlin.
