The research group for haptic and multisensory perception, at the
Faculty of Psychology and Sports Science, is advertising a part-time
position (65 % of a full-time job, payment group E13, TV-H) starting
immediately until December 31st, 2021 (with prospect of extension to a
total of 3 years), in the third-party funded project "The role of
predictive and sensory signals in the control of exploratory movements
during active feeling”, for a scientific employee.
The project is embedded in the Collaborative Research Center "Cardinal
Mechanisms of Perception: Prediction, Evaluation, Categorization"
(www.sfb-perception.de) and is headed by apl. Prof. Dr. Knut Drewing. In
particular, the role of predictive and sensory signals in the
control of exploratory movements during active touch is to be investigated.
Tasks: Collaboration in the above-mentioned project, in particular
planning, implementing and execution of experiments on haptic
perception, data analysis, presentation of the results at
national and international conferences and preparation of publications.
Requirements: You have a degree in psychology or a related discipline.
We expect knowledge and skills in perceptual psychology, experimental
methodology and psychophysics as well as an interest in fundamental
research and experimental work. Programming experience is advantageous.
