*** Important Dates ***

Submission Deadline: 20 January 2021

Notification: 31 January 2021

Rebuttal and revised paper deadline (short papers): February 5, 2021

Final notification (short papers): February 8, 2021

Camera-Ready: 10 February 2021

In this highly interactive workshop, we want to discuss topics in the
scenario of seated virtual reality, with this year’s edition having a
special focus on embodiment. This means next to comfort, postural
conflicts & transitions, we also want to investigate the special role of
embodied interaction when the user is potentially less engaged: sitting
on her/his couch, sofa, or office chair, a situation that might have
even more often occurred in these times of the pandemic. Like last year,
we want only a small part of the workshop to be covered by lightning
talks to have time for an interactive discussion session.

*** Location ***

Lisbon, Portugal (virtually, co-located with IEEE Virtual Reality 2021)

*** Main topics ***

Welcome are all topics, which directly investigate, which impact sitting
in VR/AR has, or work where the user is being seated and this fact
has/had a significant impact on the interface design, including:

  *

    Seated VR/AR

  *

    Embodiment / Embodied Interaction

  *

    Working environments

  *

    Locomotion

  *

    3DUI design

  *

    Perception, Immersion, Presence

  *

    Cybersickness

  *

    Gaming, Entertainment

  *

    Devices

  *

    Lazy UIs

*** Submission Information ***

First, we call for short papers raging from preliminary research results
to position papers, with page ranges from 1-4 pages (including
references). These will go through a formal reviewing process and if
accepted will be published electronically through the IEEE Digital
Library. That is, a committee of expert reviewers will review these
submissions and we will provide the possibility to react to those
reviews with a rebuttal.

Second, we also accept talk proposals raising interesting positions or
questions to discuss during the workshop to be submitted by 1-page
abstracts. These will only be reviewed by the workshop organizers and
will not be published in the IEEE Digital Library.

At least one author per accepted contribution must register for the
workshop as well to the IEEE VR conference. Authors of accepted
contributions will be expected to give a lightning talk at the workshop
(video recorded or via live video call - in either way we require a
submitted video of the talk as a backup before the workshop).
Submissions must be prepared in IEEE Computer Society VGTC format
<http://junctionpublishing.org/vgtc/Tasks/camera.html>and submitted in
PDF via PCS.
