Each year VSS endeavors to support travel to the annual meeting through a travel awards program, subject to availability of funding. For 2021, Elsevier is generously sponsoring the Elsevier/Vision Research V-VSS Travel Awards for both US and non-US graduate students and postdocs. 

 

The awards cover the V-VSS presentation fees. Travel award recipients are recognized at the V-VSS awards ceremony.

 

Guidelines for Applications

Travel awards are available to both US and non-US individuals. To help address historical disparities in our membership and the field, applications from females, underrepresented minorities, and individuals with disabilities are especially encouraged, as well as applications from those facing significant financial obstacles to their attendance. Applicants must be the first author on an abstract at the 2021 meeting. Previous VSS travel award recipients are not eligible (2020 award recipients excluded).

Awards Selection

Applications will be reviewed by a committee appointed by the VSS Board of Directors.

 

Schedule

Applications Open: February 16, 2021 

Application Deadline: March 1, 2021 

Notifications Sent: March 12, 2021
