OSA Imaging Systems and Application is a planned hybrid (both in-person and virtual) meeting (19-23 July 2021, Vancouver, BC, Canada) with latest advances in the research, engineering and systems design of imaging devices for applications in military, industrial, medical, and consumer imaging.

IS brings together experts from many different scientific and engineering disciplines who contribute to the design and integration of optics, sensors, digital processing and displays in imaging systems. IS captures the state-of-the-art in unique light gathering optics, image sensor architectures and technology, on and off chip digital image processing, and methods for compression, storage, transmission, and utilization.

The meeting highlights the leading-edge use of imaging systems in consumer imaging, automotive and drone imaging, photography and digital cinematography capture and projection, remote sensing, microscopy, invasive and non-invasive surgery, and airborne and astronomical observations and imaging.

Topics:

Advances in microscopic imaging
Imaging for autonomous vehicles
New concepts in biomedical imaging
Imaging sensors for mobile computing and AR/VR applications
Spectral imaging systems
Novel imaging optics
Neuromorphic and asynchronous imaging systems
Image segmentation and understanding
Image compression and resolution enhancement
Target recognition and tracking
Industrial and visual inspection approaches
Two- and Three-dimensional image reconstruction
Optimization of imaging systems for machine learning applications

Submission of papers:

<>35-word Abstract: Your abstract should be a brief summary of your paper topic. If your paper is accepted, your 35-word abstract will be included in the Conference Program. Note that the same abstract should be included in the 2-page summary as highlighted in the style guide.

2-page Summary: All contributed authors are required to submit a final summary of their work for publication in the Technical Digest, via OSA Publishing's Digital Library <https://www.osapublishing.org/>. Style guides are provided in a variety of different formats to support authors’ needs. All PDF submissions MUST contain the following items in order to be published:

Complete title
Complete listing of all authors and their affiliations
Self-contained abstract, limited to 35-words (indexers such as Google Scholar will not index papers that do not contain abstracts)
Appropriate copyright statement following the abstract. By default, the copyright statement will appear as 2021 The Author(s). If needed, the default statement can be suppressed by use of the {abstract*} environment.
Permission and attribution for any trademarked or copyright images. Note that images of people or images owned or trademarked by other entities (including, for example, well-known logos or cartoon characters) will also require official written permission.
