Ph.D. and post-doc positions in systems neuroscience, Tübingen, Germany

Ph.D. and post-doc positions are available immediately in the Physiology of Active Vision laboratory at Tübingen University. Research in the laboratory explores the mechanisms of eye movements and visual perception/cognition through neurophysiological experiments with non-human primates as well as behavioral experiments with humans. Publications related to our work are available here: https://hafedlab.org/publications/ <https://hafedlab.org/publications/>

We are integrated at the Werner Reichardt Centre for Integrative Neuroscience (CIN), a multidisciplinary institution funded by the German Excellence Initiative program. The CIN strives to deepen our understanding of how the brain generates function and how brain diseases impair functions. Its scientific program is guided by the conviction that progress in the understanding of brain function can be achieved with an integrative approach spanning multiple levels of organization and pooling the knowledge of researchers from many different fields. We also have tight links to the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research and the Institute for Ophthalmic Research, among others.

Tuebingen is a vibrant university city in the south of Germany. With its many active research groups working in neuroscience, Tübingen represents an important site of European neuroscientific research excellence. The Tübingen environment allows for a tremendous exposure to the latest advances in neuroscience, vision/robotics, human-computer interaction, brain-computer interfaces, etc. There are also several opportunities for collaborative projects across labs/institutes.

Interested candidates should send a CV and short statement of motivation and experience, along with the names of at least two references, to: ziad.m.hafed at cin.uni-tuebingen.de <mailto:ziad.m.hafed at cin.uni-tuebingen.de>. Strong backgrounds in programming and data analysis are expected.
