The SPC is responsible for reaching out to trainees to solicit opinions and ideas, and then advising the VSS Board and membership about how events, workshops, meeting structure, and activities can best target the needs of trainee members and attendees. 

 

This year, the SPC has been very involved in the organization of V-VSS events, specifically organizing an Open Science Symposium and hosting Student-Postdoc Networking Events. In addition, they have taken on building the V-VSS virtual space in Gather.Town.

 

Selected by the VSS Board of Directors, members will serve on the VSS Student-Postdoc Advisory Committee for a two-year term commencing in May 2021.
