Postdoctoral Position
We are currently seeking to fill a postdoctoral position in the Laboratory for Integrative Vision (https://clas.ucdenver.edu/lab-for-integrative-vision/) to work with Dr. Carly J. Leonard at the University of Colorado Denver.
The postdoc will take the lead role on projects related to visual perception and attention, including NEI-funded research on individual differences. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have strong background knowledge about research topics that intersect with those studied in our lab. There is the expectation for results to be disseminated at conferences and in research publications. Undergraduate research assistants are a part of our lab and the postdoc should aim to work with these students in a mutually beneficial way.
The Laboratory for Integrative Vision is equipped with a desk-mounted SR-Research Eyelink 1000 Plus and a Brain Products 64-electrode acti-Champ system. The SONA system can be used to obtain undergraduate participants through a psychology subject pool. A lab manager will be available to help with day-to-day operations. Dr. Leonard looks forward to working closely with the postdoc and providing mentoring support to help them succeed in their academic career.
Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, or a related field conferred at the time of appointment, as well as a record of publication. A strong background in programming experiments and analysis scripts is important. Previous experience with EEG and/or eye-tracking is strongly preferred.
Applications must include a letter of interest, a CV, and the contact information for 2-3 academic references. This is a 1-year position with possibility for extension. Application materials, or any questions relating to the position, should be sent to carly.leonard at ucdenver.edu<mailto:carly.leonard at ucdenver.edu>. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until position is filled. Start date of late spring or early summer is preferred.
