The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi is inviting applications for a fully funded postdoctoral associate position investigating Multisensory perception and sensorimotor integration. The initial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of renewal. The position is available immediately.

The postdoctoral associate will be part of the research group headed by Dr. Robert Volcic, at NYU Abu Dhabi. The focus of the group is on multisensory perception and action (reaching, grasping) to study how do vision, touch and other senses shape perception and behavior. The methods used include behavioral measures (psychophysics) and movement tracking. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art systems for motion capture, eye tracking, 3D vision, and virtual reality. Applicants must have (or be close to completing) a Ph.D. in Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field, and should possess strong programming skills (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB). Prior experience with psychophysical techniques, vision/haptics/motor research and/or VR is highly preferred.
