face:LIFT – “faces: Lifelike Images From Text”
Fusion R&I Technology Development Programme 2021
 Department of Communications and Computer Engineering, University of Malta.

The aim of this project is to develop text-to-image technology to generate
facial images based on a linguistic description, a technology that goes to
the heart of current developments in AI, where the intelligent processing
of multimodal information is taking centre-stage, bringing together
advances in computer vision and natural language processing. During this
work the selected candidate will be developing deep-learning based
interactive image generation from text descriptions. Further information
about the project may be obtained from Dr Ing. Reuben Farrugia at
reuben.farrugia at um.edu.mt. The Research Support Officer may also be
required to work on other projects undertaken by the Department of
Communications and Computer Engineering within the Faculty of Information
and Communication Technology
