Postdoctoral Fellowship and Research Assistant positions in vision science/rehabilitation in CEVR, Hong Kong

We are seeking applicants for a postdoctoral fellow and a research assistant position at the Centre for Eye and Vision Research Limited (CEVR), Hong Kong. CEVR is a research collaboration between The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the University of Waterloo (UW) in Canada.



These positions are available under the supervision of Drs. Tammy Labreche and Susan Leat. The project involves the study of post-stroke perceptual vision changes. We aim to assess the prevalence, natural history and associations of post-stroke perceptual changes and their relationship to real-world outcomes such as quality of life, falls, and vision-related activities. Ultimately, we wish to address and assess rehabilitative strategies for post-stroke survivors and expand the study to other causes of acquired brain injury and aging in general.

The post-doctoral Fellowship requires a PhD in vision science/rehabilitation/optometry or related field. Those with a background in kinesiology or psychology are also invited to apply. As well as the relevant academic background, the ideal candidate would have experience and passion working with older adults, and people with visual impairments and/or other impacts of acquired brain injury.

Applicants for the Research Assistant post should have a Master's degree or an honours degree with research/relevant work experience, or an equivalent qualification in one of the above disciplines.

Both the PDF and RA positions are full-time, 1-year positions with the possibility of renewal for another year based on satisfactory performance.
