„Neuronal dynamics underlying temporal error monitoring in humans and rodents”

Duration of the project: 24 months

Scholarship amount: 8,300 zł /month. 

Working time :(40 hours/week)

Workplace: Psychology Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences PAN, Warszawa, ul. Jaracza 1

Deadline for applications: until position is filled

Deadline for interviews (online) with selected candidates: second half of 06.2020.

Initiation date: 01.10.2020 r. 

Requirements
- PhD degree in psychology, cognitive science, biology, computer science, artificial intelligence, or related fields.
- High motivation for research work and strong interest in the subject of the project.
- Previous experience in research projects involving EEG, TMS, LFP, in humans and/or rodents.
- Excellent programming skills: e.g., Python, R, Matlab ...
- Excellent knowledge of basic statistical methods.
- Experience with machine learning and artificial neural networks will be an added advantage.
- Fluency in English.
- Teamwork, communication skills, and commitment.
 
Responsibilities
- Conducting research (implementation of research procedures, recruiting participants, conducting experiments in humans and/or rats (TMS, EEG, LFP ...).
- Data analysis.
- Presentation of the results on a local forum and to a wider international audience (SfN, Cosyne, CNS).
- Preparation of publications describing the research results.
 
We offer: Work in a team with an international profile with great development opportunities, aspiring to create science at the highest level. The maximum amount of scholarship allowed by the NCN. Participation in projects and workshops as well as team work in cooperation with Dr Valerie Doyere (NeuroPSI, https://neuropsi.cnrs.fr/fr/cnn/valerie-doyere/ <https://neuropsi.cnrs.fr/fr/cnn/valerie-doyere/>). There is possibility of extending the contract for one more year.

1. CV with a list of publications and other scientific achievements (participation in research; title of MSc thesis and supervisor) and information relevant in the context of the project

3. Two letters of recommendation (from research workers with at least a PhD degree).
