[visionlist] BCOVS 2021: Call for abstracts

Last Call for Abstracts
Just a reminder that the call for abstracts for this year's BCOVS (British Congress of Optometry and Vision Science) conference is due to close on 30th July 2021 (5pm BST). BCOVS is a friendly, national conference that showcases the excellent work that optometrists and vision scientists are doing across the UK, and will be held on 6th and 7th September 2021.

This year we will again be running the conference virtually, through the power of Zoom (for details on how the presentations will be done "virtually", please go to https://bcovs2021.wordpress.com/virtual-presentations/).
We are looking for submissions for research talks and posters, particularly from early-career and PhD students, but everyone is welcome to submit. This is also open to undergraduate students who have done a project (providing their supervisor agrees) and we would like to encourage clinicians and teaching staff to also consider submitting clinical or pedagogic abstracts if you feel that you've tried something innovative/interesting at work. This is of particular relevance this year with the COVID-19 lockdown.

Please note that the abstract deadline is 30th July 2021 (5pm BST).

For details of how to prepare your submission, and for a link to the abstract template, please visit the website at: https://bcovs2021.wordpress.com/call-for-abstracts/. Please select your preference for virtual poster or virtual talk with submission of your abstract. The final decision on mode of presentation will be made by the Organising Committee.
The submitting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.

The presenting author must be registered, and "attend" the conference, or the abstract will be withdrawn. Abstracts previously published will not be accepted. Abstracts presented at the conference will be published as an online supplement to the November issue of Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics (OPO), unless you opt-out in the abstract template.

There will be prizes for the best talk and best poster!
