We are pleased to announce that the 29th Kanizsa Lecture will be delivered by Professor Michael Herzog ( (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne).

""THE IRREDUCIBILITY OF VISION: GESTALT, CROWDING AND THE FUNDAMENTALS OF VISION" 

 

As you probably noticed in the first call, for this year the 29th Kanizsa Lecture and the Symposium on Perception and Cognition will be hosted by the University of Padua.

 

The Kanizsa Lecture will start at 16:30 (UTC+2). A limited number of guests will attend the lecture in the Sala Archivio Antico, Palazzo Bo, Padova, while everybody will be allowed to attend the streamed live event online on the official channel of the University of Padova or on youtube.

As tradition, a Symposium on Perception and Cognition wil take place in the morning of the same day. The Symposium is open to all perspectives and approaches, has no registration fee, and runs on an informal, relaxed pace. Abstracts will be peer reviewed, and will be included in a special issue on the journal VISION.

The abstracts of the Symposium on Perception and Cognition will be published on a Special Issue on Vision (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/vision), and as an author you have the opportunity of contribute to this Special Issue.
