I'd like to bring your attention to our call for applications to the E. Matilda Ziegler Foundation for grant awards in vision research.

E. Matilda Ziegler Foundation grants are intended for exceptionally promising young vision research investigators. Applicants are typically tenure-track Assistant Professors that do not yet have substantial outside grant support (no NIH R01). They may be performing basic or translational research, but it must be vision-related. Grants are in the amount of $100,000 for one year.

There is a two-stage application process. First is a general call for letters of interest (LOIs), which anyone can submit, followed by an invitation-only full application. Attached you will find general information in the 'Request for Applications’, as well as the LOI instructions.

For more information about the E. Matilda Ziegler Foundation see: http://emzfoundation.com/.

Thank you,

Michael C. Crair, PhD
Vice Provost for Research
William Ziegler III Professor of Neuroscience
Professor of Ophthalmology & Visual Science
