Australia
The postdoctoral researcher will work closely with leading robotics and
machine learning scientists in the Data61 developing fundamental and
transformative algorithms for multi-agent lifelong learning. Your research
will focus on developing algorithms that can learn continually in
non-stationary field environments, address catastrophic forgetting and be
able to share useful knowledge and experience with other agents (human,
robots). The successful candidate will work within national and
international settings and as part of a diverse multidisciplinary team. The
developed frameworks will be tested and deployed on real-world robotics
platforms. They will present the findings in appropriate top-tier journals
or conferences.

The Robotics and Autonomous Systems group at the Commonwealth Scientific
and Industrial Organization (CSIRO) is a world leader in robotics research
and recently won second place, and a $1M prize, at the DARPA Subterranean
Challenge!
