Greetings, vision community!

We are writing to inform you that the abstract deadline for the 2022 Optica
Fall Vision Meeting <https://www.opticafallvisionmeeting.org/home> has been
extended until 14 August and to urge you to submit an abstract
<https://www.opticafallvisionmeeting.org/2022-meeting/2022-submissions>.
The meeting welcomes abstracts about any aspect of vision research, as can
be seen in last year’s abstracts, published in the Journal of Vision
<https://jov.arvojournals.org/issues.aspx?issueid=938581#issueid=938581>.

The meeting will take place at the University of Rochester in Rochester,
New York from the 20th to the 23nd of October, 2022. Details can be found
at www.opticafallvisionmeeting.org.

Online registration will open soon, and will be announced via the same
channels. As in previous years, attendees of the Fall Vision Meeting will
receive one day of complimentary attendance at OSA’s  Frontier in Optics
(FiO) meeting (16-20 October at the University of Rochester) and vice

This year’s Fall Vision Meeting includes keynote lectures from two Edgar D.
Tillyer Award winners–David Brainard (2021) and Mary Hayhoe (2022)--and
this year’s Boynton Lecturer, Andrew Stockman. The meeting will also
include five sessions of invited talks, three sessions of contributed
talks, and contributed posters. The themes of the five invited sessions
are:

   1.

   Neural network models of the visual system
   2.

   Vision restoration
   3.

   Studies of the visual cortex with sub-millimeter resolution
   4.

   The eye as a window to systemic and neurodegenerative health
   5.

   Myopia and myopia control.
