Dear all,

This is the first call for participation in the Scottish Vision Group Meeting 2023, which will take place in Dundee city from Friday April 21st – Sunday April 23rd 2023.

The Scottish vision group meeting is an annual conference for vision scientists from Scotland, the rest of the UK, Europe and beyond. The meeting is small and friendly, and is an opportunity for people at all stages of their career to present their work and discuss ideas. This year we are pleased to announce that Professor Tim Ledgeway (University of Nottingham) will deliver the MDPI Vision Keynote Lecture.

We are extremely aware that the cost of living crisis is affecting people’s budgets and, in an effort to keep the conference accessible to all, we are working hard to keep the costs down. In order to do this we have had to make certain concessions, the biggest difference to previous years is that the conference itself will be hosted by Abertay University, rather than at the same venue as the accommodation. We anticipate that the cost (including accommodation and all meals) will be approximately £350.

The abstracts from the meeting will be published in i-Perception. We will also be collating a special issue of Vision based on the proceedings of the meeting, offering a great opportunity for a full publication at no extra cost.
